Melk Communications orchestrated the launch of the Primary Stroke Center at St, Mary Medical Center, a health care provider in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
The launch plan included a partnership with the local newspaper to solicit questions about stroke, which were then answered by the physician who headed the Stroke Center.
An email to the producer of Good Morning America suggesting a a�?stageda�? stroke at St. Mary Medical Center convinced Robin Roberts and ABC News to do a live segment from St. Mary. The purpose of the segments was to explain stroke and the proper response to stoke to America. The segment lasted nearly 11 minutes and included interviews with physicians and a patient.
Ron Melk worked with an ABC producer and dozens of St. Mary physicians, leadership and staff to make the segment happen with about two daya��s notice.
Melk Communications also arranged for local media to cover the production.
